About William Hoskovec

William Hoskovec knows from experience that life can drift into unfamiliar territory. As the owner of Sandia Family Law, he guides Albuquerque-area families through divorce, custody disputes, and other major transitions. He is committed to protecting his clients’ legal interests today and their futures after the case ends.

His Path to Law

William’s path to law began outside the courtroom. Before law school, he worked in construction, where he learned that a good working relationship with homeowners starts with trust and comfort. He still brings that approach to the people he represents. While in college and law school, he also ran his own business, William’s Rain Gutter Solutions, which supported his family through his education and the bar exam. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of what it means to run a business and to meet each client’s particular needs. In 2009, he formed his own firm, which eventually became Sandia Family Law.

His Practice

William’s practice centers on custody disputes and parental and guardianship rights. He is an active advocate for fathers and grandparents. He also represents clients in domestic violence matters, Kinship Guardianship cases, and CYFD abuse and neglect cases. He handles divorce, mediation, child support, and alimony. He aims to reduce conflict wherever possible and to get each client the resolution they deserve.

Personal Life

William was born in Nebraska and moved to New Mexico in grade school, growing up in Santa Fe. He has lived in the Albuquerque area for more than 20 years. He now lives in Edgewood with his wife, Shannon, and their four children. Faith, family, and parental rights matter deeply to them both.
